senior living advocacy in Colorado

At LeadingAge Colorado, we firmly believe that advocating for our members is one of the best ways to ensure that Colorado seniors not only receive the best care possible, but to have access to housing and service options that best align with their needs. We make it a priority to provide LeadingAge Colorado members with all the information, resources, and connections necessary to properly adapt to the evolving landscape of senior services and care. Assisted living advocacy is our bread and butter, it’s our mission to help.

What is LeadingAge Colorado advocating for, specifically?

As senior living advocates, we partner with Argentum, LeadingAge, and the National Adult Day Services Association to spearhead policy and regulatory change for the senior living community in Colorado. Our staff have expansive knowledge across the senior living industry—from nursing homes to senior housing, assisted living, retirement communities, and even community-based services (HCBS).

How does LeadingAge Colorado advocate for the Colorado senior living community?

Colorado, just like other states around the country, has several obstacles to overcome to pave the way for a more sustainable, supportive, and progressive environment for our citizens – most especially for the senior community. The LeadingAge Colorado team works with legislators, policymakers, and politicians to create sustainable solutions by doing two things: define the issues confronting the senior community and foster connections between policymakers and constituents.

In particular, we focus on advocating for timely updates to existing regulations in order to maintain a state-wide standard of excellence for our senior living and care providers.
