2021 Creating Time: 3-Part Webinar Series Honing Your Time Management Skills to Become a More Effective Leader

SERIES OVERVIEW

Susan Rucker, Principal of LeadSpark, LLC and the facilitator of LeadingAge Virginia’s Mid Managers Professional Development Series, has developed this series of virtual content and Workbook (to be shared prior to the first session) geared toward helping leaders develop or reinvigorate their good time management skills. The sessions will be highly interactive with the expectation that participants will share their concerns, successes, and failures at “Creating Time” during breakout sessions and in the larger group. While directed towards leaders, this webinar series can be advantageous for any individual wishing to re-establish their daily priorities that the pandemic might have skewed.

SERIES

Session 1 ~ Why it is Hard to Manage Time?
Tuesday, October 12, 2021 ~ 11:30am to 12:45pm Mountain

Join us as we start our journey towards “creating time.” The session begins with an overview of the Class Workbook. The discussion for this session will be on WHY it is hard to manage time. While managing time is different for each person, there are challenges we all have in common. These challenges will be discussed as well as strategies on how to overcome them.

Session 2 – What is Working for You and Not Working for You?
Tuesday, October 26, 2021 ~ 11:30am to 12:45pm Mountain

Based on the assignment in the Class Workbook, this session will review how you are learning, what is working for you, and what is NOT working for you in your quest to create time. We will explore why things are not working and outline some options to help you make progress as you complete the exercises in the Workbook.

Session 3 – Developing the Life-long Habits for Creating Time
Tuesday, November 16, 2021 ~ 11:30am to 12:45pm Mountain

During this final session, we will continue to reveal what you have learned about yourself and time management, and what progress you have made over the past month. Additionally, our discussion will center around the need to develop certain life-long habits on creating time and how these habits must change as an individual’s circumstances change. As we conclude the session, we hope everyone can celebrate their success in understanding how to create time for themselves but also acknowledge the habits they need to work on to continue to create time.
