Getting a notice for a scheduled Management and Occupancy Review (MOR) can invoke feels of panic and fear. This course is designed to reduce those concerns by teaching strategies and best practices to always be ready for an MOR, walk you through the onsite expectations of the MOR, as well as teaching techniques on how to respond to MOR findings to get them closed as quickly as possible.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to prepare for the onsite MOR process
  • Learn strategies to keep your property MOR ready at all times
  • Explore the most common reasons that findings occur and how to avoid them
  • Learn best practices for preparing and submitting your response to an MOR report to close findings quickly
  • Identify and correct common errors that occur when the site and corporate staff don’t communicate properly about MOR related items

Speaker:

Rhanda McKown - Director of Affordable Housing - LeadingAge Florida

Rhanda joins LeadingAge Florida from the North Tampa Housing Development Corporation where she served as a Local Contract Specialist. Rhanda has nearly 20 years of experience in various aspects of the housing industry and spent the last 15 years conducting Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR) under the Performance Based Contract Administration (PBCA) contract in Florida.

Rhanda's prior housing industry experience includes having served as Director of the Affordable Housing Study Commission (AHSC), a group appointed by Florida’s Governor to research a variety of timely housing topics and propose recommendations for implementation each year in a comprehensive annual report, as well as previously working at LeadingAge Florida which is where she originally began her housing career.

Rhanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and lives in Ocala with her 10-year-old daughter.
